About Us
Tranquil Trails was founded to offer a therapy space where people can show up as their full selves—without judgment, assumptions, or being forced into boxes. Our work is grounded in unconditional positive regard and an eclectic approach, allowing therapy to be shaped around the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all model.
We believe that when therapists lead with authenticity, compassion, and humanity, meaningful change becomes possible. We specialize in supporting youth and adults navigating periods of transition, stress, and overwhelm. Many of our clients are carr
ying the weight of economic strain, family complexity, systemic inequities, constant exposure to distressing world events, and the pressure to keep performing without rest.
Therapy here is collaborative and strengths-based—we work together to create clear, achievable goals using your own words, and we intentionally notice progress, even when it feels small. At Tranquil Trails, we slow things down. We help clients reconnect with their emotions, build resilience, and learn that rest, reflection, and self-compassion are not weaknesses—but essential parts of a meaningful life.
Nestled in the heart of Oakland, and just a hop away from the nearest bus stop on 5th Ave, we aim to provide accessible care to students from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, as well as the community of medical professionals working at local hospitals. We aim to provide individualized and tailored treatment to assist in a number of issues facing today’s youth, whether that's Gen Z or Millenial; including the uncertainty of the job market, feelings of loneliness, chronic stress and burnout, lack of meaningful connections, social anxiety, depression, or those just looking to navigate the complexities of life. We have one mission, to help and give space for you to grow and achieve a foundation that will not only help your present-self, but that will build on your innate resilience and solidify a path forward.
