Tranquil Trails was founded to create a therapy space where people can show up fully—without judgment or being forced into boxes. Grounded in unconditional positive regard and an eclectic, individualized approach, we shape therapy around you—not a one-size-fits-all model. We specialize in supporting youth and adults navigating transition, stress, burnout, family complexity, and the pressures of today’s world.
Our work is collaborative and strengths-based. Together, we set clear, meaningful goals, notice progress (even when it feels small), and help you reconnect with your emotions, resilience, and self-compassion. Located in Oakland near the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, we provide accessible, tailored care for students, medical professionals, and community members seeking clarity, balance, and sustainable growth.

MEET OUR TEAM
Hi! I'm Lily

Lily VanDyk, LCSW, Clinical Director and Owner
I’m an experiential and expressive arts therapist who works collaboratively and eclectically, tailoring therapy to each individual rather than forcing a single approach. I’m neurodivergent and deeply affirming of neurodiversity, and I work especially well with neurodivergent clients by honoring different ways of thinking, processing, and relating to the world.
My work focuses on creating lasting behavioral change and meaningful perspective shifts through a blend of parts work, grounding and somatic practices, cognitive and behavioral therapies, and Acceptance and Commitment–based values work.
Together, we explore what’s happening beneath the surface while building practical tools you can use in everyday life. Therapy with me is both reflective and action-oriented—rooted in curiosity, compassion, and respect for your lived experience.
I work with adults of all ages and gender identities. You are the expert on yourself; my role is to walk alongside you and help you find clarity, alignment, and the change you’re seeking.
Hi! I'm Amber
I’m here to offer a warm, non-judgmental space where everyone is welcome. Whether you’re an adult or youth, I’m here to support you through life transitions, exploring gender identity, and navigating LGBTQIA+ experiences. I also work with neurodiverse individuals and can help with setting boundaries in relationships and dating.
